The Microsoft Certified Database Administrator (MCDBA) credential is directed towards those professionals who implement and administer Microsoft SQL Server™ 2000 databases. The certification is appropriate for individuals who create databases, manage and maintain databases, configure and manage security, monitor and optimize databases, and install and configure Microsoft SQL Server. By achieving the MCDBA credential, individuals demonstrate they have the skills necessary to lead organizations in the successful design, implementation, and administration of Microsoft SQL Server databases.
If you are looking to operate a SQL Server 2005 or 2008 database, you should consider the MCITP (Database Administrator) or the MCTS (SQL Server) certifications.
To help prepare for the exams, we provide you with all the required resources including the online self-paced courses and an online reference library of eBooks (including Microsoft Press and SAMS books) and how-to articles.
