Q: How can I practice hands-on tasks online?A: Within each of our courses you will not only find simulated activities where you will be guided through and practice tasks, but relevant courses also include vLabs that are integrated into the course. These virtual labs provide hands-on experience working on real live equipment to support all major Cisco, Microsoft, CompTIA, and Linux certifications. If you get stuck, all you do is restore the systems without the time-consuming and dangerous rework that would be necessary on actual systems.
A: There are various support options available while you study. If our online reference library (Link to Online Reference Library section on the Complete Certification Resource page) cannot help, you can always have a chat with your exam coach (Link to Exam Coach section on the Complete Certification Resource page) or get assistance from your peers via the discussion forums (Link to Discussion Forums section on the Complete Certification Resource page).
A: As there are no classrooms you need to attend, you can start a course at any time.
A: The access to the certification content typically lasts for 12 months for most certifications, although some certifications do last for 24 months. The length of each subscription access is detailed in the overview of each certification. If you require longer access to a certification than what is detailed in the certification overview, our learning consultants can arrange that for you.
A: Once you are enrolled in a certification, ITCertified.com.au will present you with your exam preparation plan for each of your exams. You will select the time frame for the completion of the exam. This will clearly identify the learning events that you must complete and the timeframe within which they should be completed.
As you progress through your plan Exam Coach will track your progress and remind you of events that have yet to complete. Should you fall behind in your program, a mentor will get in contact with you to keep you on track or to discuss ways in which your program can be restructured to better-fit available study hours.
Although you are guided through the learning events and these events are presented in the most logical manner for the subject matter, you do have the flexibility to pick and choose those events you wish to study. For instance, if you feel you have a grasp of a concept, you can use the testing elements to significantly reduce the amount of time you spend reviewing other learning events, or you may wish to retake certain learning events in areas where you feel less comfortable.
The mentor will keep a track of how you progress through the activities and will emphasise key points, field questions and troubleshoot problematic areas, to make sure you are not left behind. Ultimately, you are guided, but not forced, down a prescribed path.
This process ensures that you are motivated and retain your focus throughout the program despite the fact that study is not the only thing they have to do during the week.
A: ITCertified.com.au provides you with all the resources you need to prepare you for the exam. However, you need to sit the actual exam at a testing centre. When you feel you are ready for the exam, you can book the exam with a testing centre. Most exams are administered by either Pearson Vue or Thomson Promteric.
